Bruce Hennes, CEO of Hennes Communications, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position. Recognized as one of the leading authorities in crisis communications and crisis management, his firm has a past and present client list that includes notable organizations such as the American Public Power Association, Goodyear, NASA, Avery Dennison and Kent State University. Hennes Communications annually serves nearly 200 clients from diverse market sectors, ranging from law firms, schools and government agencies to nursing homes and nonprofits that find themselves “on trial in the Court of Public Opinion.”

As a longstanding member of the board of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, which has twice given him the coveted President’s Award, he is one of the few non-attorneys in the country to serve on the board of a big-city bar association. He is also a past chair of The Cleveland Jewish News and he currently chairs Leadership Cleveland’s Selection Committee. Bruce’s commitment to academia is evident through his adjunct professorship at CSU’s College of Urban Affairs and his faculty positions at the Ohio State Bar Association Leadership Academy, the Ohio Certified Public Manager Program and the Winding River Managing Partner Boot Camp.
Bruce Hennes’ expertise and reputation extend nationwide, particularly within the legal community. Every year he teaches more than 40 Continuing Legal Education seminars for law firms and at state and local bar association conferences. He has also taught numerous times at the American Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Institute and as a featured speaker at the National School Boards Association, the Council of School Attorneys and the American Health Care Association.
